2003- Ibanez Jem 7V WH "Steve Vai" Signature
Excellent condition ...a truly stunning guitar and a joy to play.
Made in 2003, this was the last year Ibanez made the Jem7V WH with the Ebony fretboard, changing to cheaper Rosewood.
Tree of Life Inlays with the dark Ebony.
We believe this is the only year that you got a Jem 7V WH with an Ebony board AND the new Edge Pro Tremelo, so not many around with this combination.
The Ebony finger board model is the original version Ibanez made as it felt more Premium as these were very expensive when first released.
A real collector's piece!
I would describe the guitar as being in excellent condition, No dings or chips and the Gold hardware is in excellent condition with hardly any wear, including the scratch plate screws!
Comes in the original "Prestige" Ibanez case with the Tremelo arm
Info from Ibanez:
The JEM7V features an alder body bolted to a maple and walnut (originally one-piece maple) neck with a 24-fret fingerboard with pearl and abalone Tree of Life vine inlays.
Components include DiMarzio Evolution pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
A thin basswood veneer is applied to the top and back of the body to prevent the finish from soaking into the alder and preventing the alder grain from appearing through the finish.
The fingerboard is scalloped at the last four frets.
